Valerie’s Flare Characteristics: Working on impactful projects that can help patients in medical need, while contributing to a collaborative, creative, and enthusiastic team environment.

Valerie brings a broad range of experience from academic and pharmaceutical research to the Flare team. She has developed expertise over the years in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and biophysics that she uses to contribute to discovering and characterizing small molecule modulators for dysregulated pathways in tumor cells.

During her time in the industry, Valerie has established druggability while discovering, characterizing, and understanding the mechanism of inhibition to small molecule modulators for various target classes. These include nuclear hormone receptors, epigenetic enzymes, and targets in the immuno-oncology space.

Valerie is passionate about nature and wildlife. She enjoys outdoor walks with her two children, William and Oceane, where they observe the world around them. She also loves discovering new places and cities, or simply enjoying music with a good cup of coffee.
