Stephen’s FlareTx characteristics: Fascinated with the biologic basis of disease and how the course of illness can be modified by a rational approach to manipulating the undesirable biologic processes.

For over 30 years Stephen has held leadership roles in basic and medical sciences, patient care, drug discovery, diagnostics and product development. His deep understanding of the practical aspects of bringing new medicines to patients allows him to bring a unique perspective that integrates the desired patient experience with the latest medical science. His core values are constant learning, collaboration and mentorship.

Stephen has led teams working in drug development across many platforms including small molecules, biologics, gene therapies, cell therapies and diagnostics, spanning global pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, not for profit advocacy groups and academic medical centers with a focus on oncology, neuroscience and rare diseases.

Stephen has a passion for helping underserved populations and helped found the Central Pennsylvania Clinic which serves rural Amish and Mennonite families with rare disorders.
